How can FaxitFast help you?

General

FaxitFast is an Internet fax service that allows users to get their own unique, dedicated fax number and gives you the power to send / receive faxes from the Internet and your existing email account. Your FaxitFast fax number can be prominently displayed on business cards, email footers, and any other place you would showcase a traditional fax number. Senders can send faxes to your dedicated FaxitFast number using regular fax machines or other Internet fax services. Your incoming faxes are automatically converted to Adobe Acrobat PDF files and are immediately sent to your registered email address. FaxitFast email fax works with any existing email account and gives you the power to send and receive faxes from anywhere you have access to your existing email account, including on-the-go from your Blackberry, iPhone, Android or smartphone.

Nope. FaxitFast is a web based service and works from your online FaxitFast account and through your existing email account. Fax from online as FaxitFast combines the power of fax and email into one user-friendly service. No software to download, no equipment to buy.

We've made it easy to change your password at anytime to protect the security of your online fax account. To change your password, simply Log In to your account with your username / password at FaxitFast.com. Once you have signed in, click the "User Profile" link located on the left-hand side of the screen under the My Settings section. You will then have the option to change your password as desired.
It is NOT possible to change your username after the account has been created, even if you no longer have access to the email address that was used when the FaxitFast account was first created. You can easily update the email addresses to send / receive faxes with on the "Send Prefernces" page and "Receive Preferences" page, but you will always need to login using the same email address that was used when the FaxitFast account was first created.

If you forget or misplace your username or password for your FaxitFast account, you may request it online by clicking the "Login" navigation item and then clicking the "reset your password" link. If you have forgotten both your username and password, please Contact Us and we will send you an email indicating your username and/or reset password. Please include any information in your email that will help us identify your account, such as the FaxitFast fax number, primary account holder's name, registered email address, etc. Once we receive your request, the correct username / password will be sent to the registered email address on file for the account in question.

Yes you can! During the sign up process, you will have the option to select a toll free prefix or choose from hundreds of local area codes throughout the United States.

Now that you've successfully signed up for a FaxitFast account, the first step is to login to your FaxitFast account and become familiar with the "My Account" area. Once logged in, we recommend taking the FaxitFast product tour before customizing the FaxitFast settings. From the "My Account" area, you can:

- Make changes to your login information, billing information and user profile
- Review your incoming / outgoing fax history
- Send faxes using the FaxitFast Account Dashboard
- Customize incoming / outgoing fax settings
- Customize settings for mobile faxing directly from your Blackberry, iPhone or smartphone
- Change the email addresses used for receiving / sending faxes
- Fill your online FaxitFast address book with commonly used fax numbers

At the present time our FaxitFast online faxing services only covers the United States and Canada.


Sending Faxes

Our online fax service combines the power of fax and Internet making it simple to fax from online. The first step is to login to your FaxitFast account and then click the "Send a Fax" icon located in the middle of the page. The "Send a Fax" link is also located on the left hand side for your convenience.

After clicking the "Send a Fax" link, you will be prompted to complete the online form and upload the files you wish to fax. This includes indicating the recipient's fax number, adding a cover page if desired, uploading the files to be faxed, etc. We've made it easy to select commonly used fax numbers from your FaxitFast address book to save time.

When you are finished completing the form, simply click the "Send Fax" button. If you have any questions, we have made help areas available on each section of the Send a Fax form.

Sending a fax from your existing email account has never been easier with FaxitFast. Simply compose a new email from your existing email account and enter the recipient fax number in the "To:" field as: RecipientFax#@faxitfast.com, where "RecipientFax#" is the number you wish to send the fax to.

For example, if you are sending a fax to someone at 312-555-7777, you would address the email to:

3125557777@faxitfast.com

Then simply attach any documents you want to be faxed and hit SEND. If you have ever sent an email before, you should already be a pro!

To send faxes directly from your existing email account, your email address must be linked to your designated FaxitFast account. If the sending email address is not linked, you will receive an email notifying you of this error.

You can configure up to 5 different email addresses to allow you to send faxes directly from your email account. To specify which email addresses you would like to use, simply login to your FaxitFast account and click the "Send Preferences" link located on the left-hand side of the page under the My Settings section. You will then have the option to add up to 5 email addresses to work with your FaxitFast account.

All saved email addresses on the list will be able to send outbound faxes directly from their email addresses using your FaxitFast account.

If you are not receiving confirmation emails that your faxes have been sent, check to make sure the "Receive Preferences" have been set up properly for your account. By default, the email address used during the sign up process will receive notifications confirming your fax has been completed or if there was a transmission error.

You can conveniently manage the email address to be used for notifications and control the type / frequency of incoming email notifications within the "Receive Preferences" area of you FaxitFast account. To configure notification settings, simply login to your FaxitFast account and click the "Receive Preferences" link located on the left-hand side of the page under the My Settings section. You can also change the primary email address at any time by clicking the "User Profile" link under the My Settings section.

Yes. On the Send a Fax form, you will have the option to add a coversheet if desired. Simply click the "Upload" button and select the coversheet you would like to use for your outgoing fax.

Yes. If FaxitFast encounters a normal busy signal, the system will re-try sending the fax every 5 minutes for a maximum of 5 attempts. If any other common transmission error is encountered ('no answer', 'receiving fax machine out of paper', etc.), FaxitFast will re-try sending the fax every 5 minutes for a maximum of 5 attempts. Fatal errors such as 'not answered by a fax', 'number not in service', etc. will not be re-tried.

Yes you can! If you are sending the fax via the FaxitFast Account Dashboard, you will have the option to add up to 20 recipients using the Send a Fax form. Simply enter the desired fax numbers or select commonly used fax numbers from your FaxitFast address book.

If you are sending the fax directly from you existing email account, simply put a comma between each fax number in the To: address field (i.e. 3125557777@faxitfast.com, 3125558888@faxitfast.com, 3125559999@faxitfast.com, 3125550000@faxitfast.com) and the outbound fax will go to each fax number indicated in the address field. Just type the 10 digit fax number followed by @faxitfast.com and separate each address with a comma.

Yes you can! You can easily fax up to 10 documents on the same fax by adding each document as an attachment, in the order you would like your recipient to receive them. The recipient's incoming fax will include all of the attachments you selected.

Absolutely. FaxitFast comes with an online address book built into your account which allows you to easily select commonly used fax numbers on the Send a Fax form. You can always update your FaxitFast address book anytime you wish by logging into your FaxitFast account and clicking on the "Address Book" link located conveniently on the left-hand side of the admin area.

Yes you can! FaxitFast makes it easy for you to schedule a fax to be automatically sent at a later time / date. Simply login into your FaxitFast account and click the "Auto Scheduler" link located conveniently on the left-hand side of the admin area. You will then have the option to schedule a fax to be automatically sent at the time / date you specify on the Auto Scheduler form.

The transmission speed of your fax can be affected by several factors:

Document length and complexity - The more black and white variations on your fax page, the longer it will take to send your fax. If your fax contains large amounts of text and/or complex graphics, it will take longer to send than a simple document. This also applies to faxes containing gray-scale shading or backgrounds. Gray-scale consists of thousands of tiny black/white variations, each of which is transmitted by fax as separate pieces of data. The increased amount of data to be transmitted with gray-scale increases the time needed to send the fax.

Phone Line quality - A poor connection or noise on the telephone line will slow down a fax transmission. In some cases, the transmission can be cut off partway through sending the fax, and the fax must be re-tried. You are charged for any time spent connected to the receiving fax machine, even if the fax requires multiple attempts to send.

Modem Speed - The FaxitFast system is configured to send at the fastest possible transmission speed. However, if the receiving fax machine is an older Group 3 fax machine or is experiencing other problems, transmission speeds may drop to 9600bps or less.



Receiving Faxes

When you receive an incoming fax, FaxitFast automatically delivers the fax to your registered email address in PDF format as a new email message. In addition, you can always access your received faxes by logging into your FaxitFast account and clicking on the "Inbox" link located in the middle of the page. The "Inbox" link is also located on the left hand side for your convenience.

You have the option to receive your inbound faxes in either PDF format or TIFF format. Faxes received in PDF format can be opened and printed using Adobe Reader, which is available free of charge from Adobe, Inc. Faxes received in TIFF format can generally be opened and printed on most Microsoft Windows systems using software included with Windows.

Your incoming faxes will be stored for as long as you are an active customer. Once your account is closed all faxes will be deleted.

FaxitFast does not sell or rent your information to any third parties. However, similar to email spammers, there are fax spammers who have special equipment that can send out mass fax broadcasts worldwide and unfortunately it is impossible to block all every spam fax.

However, FaxitFast understands your privacy is important and each FaxitFast monthly subscription plan comes with our "Spam Blocker" feature, which can reduce the amount of unsolicited faxes that are sent to your fax number. There is no extra charge for this feature and the Spam Blocker allows you to mark any received fax as "spam" which will automatically redirect future faxes from the same number to your Spam Folder. Because there is no absolute method for determining if a fax is truly a junk fax, we've created the spam folder to reduce fax notifications that come from numbers that you have already marked as spam. You can access your FaxitFast Spam Folder anytime you wish by logging into your FaxitFast account and clicking on the "Spam Folder" link located conveniently on the left-hand side of the admin area.

Although this is a problem that we have no control over, junk faxes are illegal, and the FTC and FCC have handed down a number of significant fines to offenders recently. Also, most states have laws banning unsolicited faxing. If you'd like more information about how to register a complaint against the senders of junk faxes, please visit the Federal Communication Commission's website at: http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/unwantedfaxes.html

Junkfax.org also contains more information, including links to various state and federal web sites where you can report the junk faxes that you have received.

In some cases, it is possible for a sender to send a fax without dialing the area code, if the sender is located in the same area code. However, it is becoming increasingly common for carriers to require callers to dial a 1, followed by the 10 digit area code and phone number, even for calls within the same area code. For that reason, we recommend that all senders include a 1, followed by the 10 digit area code and phone number (even if they are local) to ensure that all incoming faxes are received properly.

To specify which email addresses you would like to use to receive incoming fax notifications, simply login to your FaxitFast account and click the "Receive Preferences" link located on the left-hand side of the page under the My Settings section. You will then have the option to update the email address that incoming fax notifications are sent to. Once you've updated your email address, remember to save the changes when you're finished.

If a fax is not being delivered to your email address for any reason, you can also view it by logging in to your account via the FaxitFast website at www.faxitfast.com, with your username and password. Once you have logged in to your account, you will see a list of inbound faxes in your inbox. If the fax does not appear in your web inbox, our system has not received it. Often this is due to a misdialed or improperly programmed fax number. Please verify that the sender is using your correct fax number, including a 1, followed by the 10 digit area code and phone number (even if they are local) to ensure that all incoming faxes are received properly.

Faxes that appear in the web inbox, but not in your email inbox, may have been blocked from delivery by a spam filter or other security software. Please allow delivery for all emails from FaxitFast.



Mobile Faxing

If you are currently able to send emails from your smartphone, then you will be able to send faxes directly from your smartphone.

Sending a fax from your existing email account linked to your smartphone has never been easier with FaxitFast. Simply compose a new email from your smartphone and enter the recipient fax number in the "To:" field as: RecipientFax#@faxitfast.com, where "RecipientFax#" is the number you wish to send the fax to.

For example, if you are sending a fax to someone at 312-555-7777, you would address the email to:

3125557777@faxitfast.com

Then simply attach any documents you want to be faxed and hit SEND. If you have ever sent an email from your smartphone before, you should already be a pro!

If you are currently able to receive emails on your smartphone, then you will be able to receive faxes directly on your smartphone.

When you receive an incoming fax, FaxitFast automatically delivers the fax to your registered email address in PDF or TIFF format as a new email message. As long as your registered FaxitFast email is linked to your smartphone, you will also receive all incoming faxes on your smartphone. If your smartphone is capable of viewing PDF or TIFF files, you will be able to seamlessly view all incoming faxes on-the-go.

You should contact your service provider to inquire about available TIF or PDF viewers for your specific device.

FaxitFast does not charge extra for sending / receiving faxes from your mobile device. Please check with your mobile carrier to confirm charges for inbound / outbound emails sent from your mobile device.



Billing Questions

Yes. All FaxitFast monthly subscription plans are billed on a month-to-month basis, with no annual contracts. Your credit card will be automatically charged every month based on the monthly subscription plan you selected, until you cancel your FaxitFast account. To cancel your FaxitFast account, simply click the "Close Account" link located on the left-hand side of the page under the My Account section once logged into your FaxitFast account. FaxitFast is a post-paid service and once your account has been cancelled, your credit card will no longer be charged taking effect on the next monthly billing cycle.

FaxitFast measures a "fax page" as the number of actual pages that were included in the inbound or outbound fax. For example, if you send a 10 page Word document as an outbound fax, your account will reflect 10 pages being used from your monthly fax page allotment. If you receive an inbound fax that includes 25 pages, your account will reflect 25 pages being used from your monthly fax page allotment. Unlike most online fax services that charge customers based on the number of minutes connected to the fax server, FaxitFast only charges for the number of actual pages being sent or received per fax. We have simplified our billing system to ensure our customers can use the total amount of fax pages included with their subscription plan without having to worry about paying extra for additional time connected to our fax server.

FaxitFast makes it easy to review your billing history from the FaxitFast Account Dashboard. To access your prior monthly billing invoices, simply click the "Billing History" link located on the left-hand side of the page under the My Account section once logged into your FaxitFast account. From there, you will be able to review all monthly charges associated with your FaxitFast account. To view the full invoice (which you can also print), click on the invoice number for the invoice you wish to view.

FaxitFast charges $.08 cents for each additional fax page sent or received that exceeds the number of faxes included with the monthly subscription plan you select. Overage charges will be automatically billed to the credit card on file at the end of each monthly billing cycle.

We have made it simple to monitor your monthly fax usage by enabling fax usage counters that are displayed when logged into the FaxitFast Account Dashboard.

FaxitFast charges $.08 cents for each additional fax page sent or received that exceeds the number of fax pages included with the monthly subscription plan you select. Overage charges will be automatically billed to the credit card on file at the end of each monthly billing cycle.

FaxitFast has made it easy for you to upgrade your currently monthly FaxitFast subscription plan directly from the FaxitFast Account Dashboard. To upgrade your current monthly subscription plan, simply click the "Upgrade Account" link located on the left-hand side of the page under the My Account section once logged into your FaxitFast account. From there, you will be able to easily upgrade your monthly subscription plan to increase the number of monthly inbound / outbound faxes included with your account.

We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover as payment for the FaxitFast service.

To specify which credit card you would like to use for monthly subscription payments, simply login to your FaxitFast account and click the "Billing Profile" link located on the left-hand side of the page under the My Account section. You will then have the option to update the credit card information / billing address for the credit card that will be billed for FaxitFast monthly subscription charges. Once you've updated your billing information, remember to save the changes when you're finished.

We hate to see you go, but if you no longer find the FaxitFast service useful, we've made cancelling your account simple. Simply login to your FaxitFast account and click the "Close Account" link located on the left-hand side of the page under the My Account section. You will then have the option to close your account immediately and stop all future monthly subscription charges. FaxitFast is a post-paid service and once your account has been cancelled, your credit card will no longer be charged taking effect on the next monthly billing cycle.

FaxitFast does not offer any refunds, including refunds on annual subscriptions, regardless if you cancel within the first year of signing up. If you are unsure about purchasing an annual subscription plan, we recommend starting out with one of our monthly subscription plans to determine if the service is right for you.
FaxitFast send charges are based on the number of fax pages being transmitted through our fax server. This includes any time the FaxitFast system is connected to the receiving fax machine and sending data, even if a transmission error occurs and the fax is not completely sent on that attempt. In most cases, your account will only reflect using 1-2 fax pages from your monthly allotment if the fax in question results in a transmission error.



Privacy / Security

If you send and receive faxes via email, it may be possible for third parties to unlawfully intercept or access fax/voice messages, since email is not secure. Any faxes you send while logged in to your account using the FaxitFast Account Dashboard are uploaded from your computer to FaxitFast via a secure SSL connection. This is more secure than email to fax.

Privacy is one of our highest concerns and we have taken numerous security measures to keep your information safe. Anytime you are logged in to the FaxitFast website, any information you submit to us (billing/personal information, viewing or downloading faxes, sending faxes from the website, etc.) is protected by a secure, encrypted connection between your computer and the FaxitFast website. This is true unless you specifically choose the unsecure login option to access your account. You can use your web browser's security feature to view the security information for any FaxitFast pages that require you to enter credit card information.

Contact a member of the FaxitFast support team immediately by sending us an email to Support@FaxitFast.com or use the Contact Us form. Once your email is received, our team will suspend your account until the password can be reset and forwarded to the primary account holder.
